Q. I have Adobe Acrobat™ installed but when I click on the recipe link and I get a blank screen and nothing else. What’s wrong?

A. There could be a few problems here but the most likely problem is that you are using an old version of Acrobat. You will need to have at least Acrobat 6.0 installed in order to view the recipes. To download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat click here.

You will also want to be sure to uninstall any old versions of Acrobat that you may currently have before installing the newest version of Acrobat, otherwise you will likely experience the same problem even after installing the newer version.

Q. I downloaded the newest version of Acrobat but I still can’t download. Did I miss a step?

A. Not only do you have to download the software but you have to run the install. Simply click on the file that you downloaded from Adobe and follow the on-screen instructions.

Q. I can view the worksheets just fine but do I have to come back to the Members Section each time that I want to view the worksheets or can I save them?

A. You certainly can save them. It’s very simple. There is a disk icon in the Adobe menu bar that will allow you to save the file on your computer. Be sure you are clicking on the disk icon in the Adobe menu and not the browser disk icon.

Q. Can I share the recipes?

A. The copyrighted recipes are for owners of the ebooks, Big Book of Freezer CookingThe Freezer Cooking Manual and/or the 30 Day Gourmet Edition of Advantage Cooking only, so while saving your favorite recipes on your computer is encouraged we do ask that you not redistribute anything that you download.

Q. Can I print the recipes?

A. Absolutely. If you are viewing an ebook (pdf) that you purchased directly from 30 Day Gourmet, just use the Adobe menu bar to print any recipe you like. They are all formatted to print nicely on 8.5 x 11 paper. If you are viewing a recipe on our web site, just click on the “Click here to go to a Printer Friendly Page” link and then click on the print link on the page.

Q. Some of the recipes and compilation files have a .zip extension. What is that and how do they work?

A. A Zip file is simply a single file that is a collection of one or more files that have been compressed to reduce file size and download time. Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users should be able to simply download the files to their hard drive and double click on them to decompress them. Users of older Windows operating systems may have to download and install the evaluation version of WinZip or other similar decompression software in order to decompress the files.
